FOR SALE
Are a set of drawings, buffer beam and frame material to construct a 5 inch gauge engine to the 'Dougal' design by David Malcolm. I intended to build this engine, but being at Pulborough for too long of course made me think bigger! There aren't many of these engines running, so it would be virtually unique. Reeves classifies this as a 'beginners engine', so it would suit anyone between novice to experienced. In the sale, I will also include a disk with loads of pictures I collected of the prototype in many liveries. These items have been untouched, so will be sold at current Reeves prices, although I think postage will be a lot less. Preferrably to sell as one lot, rather than split. Pics later, interested parties PM me please. The proceeds go towards the M7 fund I am asking for £32 for the lot, minus postage which I will find a quote for in due course.
All the Best,

A bit of sheet steel and you want £30 for it?!?!
I could get some out the garage, an angle grinder, and I would be in money! _________________ Forum Founder, Owner and Admin.

It ain't sheet, it's plate. Plus it isn't just the steel which the £30 is for. The £32 includes the 3 sheets of drawings which are in 2D and show every single dimension of the engine from the grate to the boiler. _________________ Si

I want to try and build either a 16mm or gauge 1 loco at some point in the future but not yet.. |
Someone contacted me via the National Preservation forum about my 10 1/4 M7. He sent me a link, and said he has built many engines in G1, but now wants to build one in G3! I used to read GardenRail magazine, and there was an article about G3 in it, but I forget what gauge G3 actually is _________________ Si
