|
|
Picked my SE4 up on wednesday
The seller was telling me that he had
Had the SE4 for 35 years, and only fired it once
He was also telling me he sold the
Twin cylinder Minor 2 on eBay a few years ago
And it made £1400 ..........
Not got around to firing the SE4 yet
Had a look at the whistle and the boiler
Has been sealed from the inside
Not sure why Mamod did this .............

certainly a looker Mike. £1400! Bugger me, then again, they are the rarest _________________ Si

Fantastic Mike. Welcome to the se4 club! Please, please dont paint it, a clean and thats it - looks wonderful even in the condition now! I will pore over those pics later. It will be great to see some more!! Wonder why the whistle is blanked off? My whistle works. Would be nice to see some more details of the engine. |

Mike,
Nice engine and interesting to see that your SE4 also has a blanked off whistle. So that's your SE4, my SE4, Steely's SE3 & my SE3 which all have blanked off whistles. Can't be a coincidence, can it?
Can't wait to see the firing video
£1400 for a twin cylinder minor a truely rare engine but even so, £1400

Are you going to tidy up some of the resoldered joints Mike?. They don't look too bad really, but could be a little tidier
Bags of character, just how you want to see an SE4 _________________ Solid Fuel tablets explode

Wonderful engine knowsnothin.
The SE4 is fantastic, and what i consider a good price too.
Well done. Are you going to steam it?
I would.
Personally, I'd leave as it, just clean and enjoy _________________
