Jeez Al, that is a cutie.  My guess would be meths for the fuel as that is the dominant liquid fuel for all toy steam.

Methylated.

Sure wish it was menthol.

Trust me, clear Denatured Alcohol is nectar compared to the colored rubbish they sell as Meths in the UK.

This is why you always hear the UK members complaining.

Oh that is cool.
I've never seen that one before.
Any idea who made it?

And I agree it would be Meths or Dentured alcohol as you call it.

Me too, promised myself all kinds of rewards if I quit.

I quit, but none of the rewards came to fruition..

The issue is coming to a major head this month.  Val won't even deny this one .

It's going to involve some major expenditure, however.

I quit smoking the "easy" way. I was confined to a Hospital bed and unable to get up on my own for over three months, with Oxygen in the room. After three months I knew not to start up again But, the urge never leaves you. If you smoke, quit now!

Seconded.

BTW, another wonderful engine Al.

You sure have started with some truly great, unique and beautiful examples.

"Railway Life" ?.

I'll see what I can find out.

Something  isn't quite right here.  Railway is 'Chemin de Fer' in French.

'La Vie du' is 'The life of'.

This Franglais indicates the item may have been primarily marketed in the US or UK.

Perhaps Alicia, (Steamgranny), may be able to shed some light.

Wife is getting upset and as Gil can tell you the dining room is close to unpassible. Took pics of the dining room but too embrassed to post.

Do have to develope some theme or mission but hard-now want a bowman stationary here and a mersey there.
Did have some self control tonite and did not bid on an unusal Weeden Eureka.

I have sold a couple of them off and need to do further triming.

Isnt La Vie du Rail a periodical publication, like Trains Magazine in the US? Could this have been produced for them?
I love the Locomotive, is that comparable to N scale or HO?
