The apple green is best in my opinion. _________________ He who keeps his head while all about him are losing theirs, doesn't know how serious it is. |

A lovely set of engines there KN.
The canopy stickers on your TE1 are the best I have ever seen, as a rule these always break apart, but yours are in perfect original condition. _________________ Make time to take a step back, and appreciate what you already have. |

No just faded - like a few of the wheels too - dodgey pain supply!
PS none are repaints so it must just have been in the sun! |

The variance in the red is noticeable. Reds always fade more in sunlight. |

Or washing up liquid and very hot water. I know I turned a set of Mamod Wheels pink once trying to clean them! _________________ Manx, the mobile man |

The paint on the boiler is very thin! Never ever try and t-cut it I found out the hard way
I think i prefur the 72 green, just a bit darker and a bit more sensible! Apple green is nice! Although a tad too bright in some light!
As for the mamod red! I'd have to go with the bright red myself. The dark red is officially Hobbies and a nice shade in the sun! But the mamod "signal" red wins it for me
Great thread Mike _________________ Solid Fuel tablets explode

Yep, I've got to go with the bright red, and with the apple green, it enhances the "toy" aspect which is undoubtedly part of the charm. _________________ He who keeps his head while all about him are losing theirs, doesn't know how serious it is. |

I'm with you Yosa, Apple Green and bright red.
When I read the words Te1 or Sr1 I get an image in my head with an apple green boiler so it must be my colour of choice. _________________ http://www.freewebs.com/ozsteam/index.htm
