|
|
I bought some 1" dia brass tubing the other day hoping to make a new chimney from it. The smallest amount I could buy was a 12' length! So I cut what I needed but I'm a bit off in how to construct the cap.
So....
My request; does anyone have a cap (and/or the little trim piece 1/3 of the way from the bottom) for a Schoenner overtype chimney? ANY condition will do - I can fix just about anything. I mean jeeze, I'm currently building one of those funny lever-arm safety valves from scratch, following the example of a few photographs. _________________ EVR |

There are some old style smoke stack caps for Weeden steamers on this web site
www.classictintoy.com
They have a couple of inside diameters. I am upto the same thing making one for my Marklin. I am adpating a Wilesco brick stack adding one of theses caps and then painting the stack to match Marklin color schemes..
They also have some stacks that might work as well- they have quite a few things _________________ regards,

You got your muck spreader ready.
It looks like they use the regular chimney, with a cage on top and another cap on top of that. Can't be too hard, give it a try. |
