My neighbour works in the RAF he got us a tour of the dakota and Lancaster I was awesome!
Hurricane In bits!
THe rear gunner in the lacaster
The cockpit of the dakota
Merlin engine
Underneath one of the lancaster engines
In the Dakota
In the spitfire

The painting "Phantom of the Ruhr" is a bit disturbing though. |

I forgot to put these on!

We were told the history behind the Lancaster and surprisingly it was built after the war!
I was used after for recon missions!
The spitfires had been in combat though the guy showed us the patched bullet holes. _________________

I think my neighbour wants to get a tour of the typhoon hangers arranged!

Thanks for sharing the pictures.
I really love WWII museums or any military museums, specially aircraft ones.
All the technology we have today is due to the war effort.

Ah well it usually wasnt a long term contract
What fantastic chance to see them close up a uncrowded like that-thanks for posting. _________________ You cant get an engine for that anymore unless you are lucky |
