WHOOOOOOO! JUST WON THIS!

It's not in great condition, but it is the elusive Bowman 410, and at £78, who's complaining!

I'm over the moon, can't wait for it to get here!!!

Good buy!

You say its not in good condition but the paint is considering the age. Once you replace the missing parts it will be very tidy indeed.

Me too......I wasn't going to let this one slip, so I had quite a scarily high bid riding on it - VERY relieved it stayed low!

I know where you can get some measurements.

I wonder if the lighting the picture was taken in hurt the sale too. It makes the very good paint look dull.

It looks to me that there might be some work involved to get it into a more workable state, I bet most on Ebay saw it and thought of it as spares only, the old not seeing the forest for the trees bit.

Some Moose magic and it will be a treat

I've got a feeling I might be knocking on your in-box soon Nick

The only bit I find daunting is making the missing wheel, but I'm sure I'll sort it.

It's only missing the burner, cab roof and safety valve isn't it?

The burner can easily be made.
There are atleast 2 places you can buy a repro SV from and with a little care and thought the roof shouldn't be too hard to make.

Nice buy.

It is also missing one wheel - but that is not insurmountable, and at worst a nice challenge for my metalworking skills!

I expect to have this running very quickly - all the essentials are there.

Another way to put it, some assembly required. While the Cab Roof is off, take pictures of the cylinder etc please.

Something I found on my 300, there are screws and nuts that ho;d the cab to the floor, the cheese heads need to be underneath the Loco and the nuts in the Cab as if the nuts are below, they hold the burner down lower. it wasnt my main problem, but sure helped the Loco negotiate the turnouts much better.
