I have been asked to help identify this whistle.
I've looked through the Toy Steam Bible but cannot see one similar.
It is not an SEL whistle as the thread is different and the tube thinner.
Length is 32mm.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Could it be a Luton Bowman PW203 then? Agree its not a latimaer one, Ive a Latimer with a missing top part and have studied the bottom bit all to often

It is not a 203 as the handle is different.

Could be an "cheap" Bing Whistle, used on smaller cheaper models

I think you could be right with Bing.
Have a look at this engine on toy steam bible --> http://www.toysteambible.org/Bing/70-120.htm
Could this one (it's not mine btw) be the same but without the black handle cover.
The thread is ~5mm diameter but very fine (i.e. high tpi)
