I'm female and fast approaching 60.  I have a wide interest in a number of things and collect toy robots, ray guns, old toy wood electric boats from the 50's, and of course, steam engines. I've been collecting steam engines for over 11 years, on and off.

I'm a bit of a nerd and also a Star Trek fan. Currently, my favorite tv shows are the History Channels 'Monster Quest' 'UNIVERSE' and other history shows, including Pawn Stars and Modern Marvels.

I'm currently making a small 'AFRICAN QUEEN' from one of those cheap 18 inch display boats I bought for a dollar at a yard sale, and using an old MIDWEST steam engine and boiler I bought off of Ebay for 30.00 dollars. I'm trying to keep the cost below 60.00 USD.

Hello,

Welcome from Nottingham England, Robin Hood country. I admire your ethics !!

A steam boat for $60  - Can't be bad

Keep us informed and do ask any questions, thers's a great range of knowledge here.

By the way, great list of interests. However we are all normal here, it's the others that are strange, poor souls.

Cheers

H2o
