Hi,
At the mo' I'm restoring my SL1, the boiler needs a bit of re-soldering and thios is being let out as a contract job. I don't want to let it leave the workshop before I remove the steam pipie as the tube that the steam pipe sits in is loose, and I don't want it re-solder with the steam pipe at the wrong angle, and therefore I'm asking you magnificent people what's the best way to remove the steam pipe, as at the mo it won't budge, whereas two I've done in the past have just slid out. Thanks

they are originally but not if someone gets the solder out. You'll have to heat it up and pull it out.

My steam pipe into the steam dome is soldered in, if it wasn't there is no way it would be steam tight.

Some had o rings then a spring, but I can't see it being as effective as soldering it
