Wasn't going to go this year but a mate turned up and we went up (despite the awful weather). Place was a bog and numbers well down on last year, but I took a few pics of the legendary 3830. Still looking great

COOOOOOL!!! wish we had stuff like that in SA our SteamRangers (520 etc) are all out of action....just boring old railcars or even worse diesels!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

a great loco . im not really into locos so it really annoys me to see the engines coupled up like that. i like to see them with their funnels facing the front. i know because of limited track they do that because of turntables ect. but it does spoil the look of the train overall.

thanks all for the comments. It was a shame my camera decided to die as there we traction engines (including a lovely Marshall) rumbling around and interesting displays of early agricultural engines.
