Although I instantly fell in love with the very sad remains of this Krauss Mohr upright & its horribly wonky flywheel, I did wonder whether my brother’s combined talents would be sufficient to restore it to life…

It has taken a while & despite new safety valve & 3-groove piston it still wouldn’t run. The problem was finally tracked down & although cylinder is correct for model it probably doesn’t belong to this machine or was badly drilled from the start, as port holes were slightly misaligned. Once this was fixed it finally deigned to work but I still had to wait for recent UK trip to pick it up...
I have only repainted firebox, leaving original paint on flywheel & the somewhat worm-eaten but still sound wooden base.
Here it is back in the world of the living, thanks to my brother & Colin Andrews’ expert help & advice:

I have no idea of model or year & only found one similar machine on Internet but lacking details:

If anyone has any info…..?

No it's not, nor does it have a whistle, as in the Internet photo, that is possibly a more sophisticated version of same model?
