Well here are some pictures of the latest project.

This is a Model of the famous East Coast tugboat the Seguin.

I actually started building this model about five years ago and finished most of what you see here in about a 8 months. Shortly after that got busy with other projects and had to stop working on her.

I decided to pull the model down from the shelf it had been sitting on for the last few years and finish her up.

I just added the new steam plant to her and ran it for the first time yesterday. The model handled really well in the water and had a run time of almost an hour, which most of the running time was spent at full throttle to see what the shortest run time duration would be.

The life boat is missing from the model because it is currently out for repairs. On of our cats decided it would be an ideal chew toy!

Regards,

Nick

Thanks Everyone,

She had her maiden voyage yesterday but I didn't get a chance to shoot any video. In fact it would have been incriminating evidence since she was sailed in a reflecting pool in front of a local landmark. Oops.

It was the only place to preform some sea trials without having to drive too far. The local site seer's liked seeing it run but I'm sure the local park rangers would have given us the stink eye had they been around.

Maybe this weekend I will get a chance to run her again and take  some video. The boat is kind of a hotrod so to speak. The steam plant puts out more than enough power. I think I should have painted the boat in a metallic blue or something like that with some racing stripes.

Cheers,

Nick

Wow.  More photos and a video would be fantastic.

Do you have any photos of it during the build?

It's seeing pictures like that, that make me want to build a boat like that but then I remember I don't have the skill or the patients for it.

Lovely boat

No skill, patience, or finances here. But that is what dreams are made of. The powerplant on its own is a piece of art.

Great job--- as a fellow owner of a Sequin, My hat is tipped to you -- I did not build mine but will be converting it to live steam as it was built with nothing more than the  mantle in mind by the previous owner.

A couple of questions:

I see you have 4 servos= their duties?EDIT: I see now there are above deck channels for the rudder linkage.. but a small response will help me.

and Is the white stack just for the picture? Since the outer one is raked, I do not understand how you get that big dude up, and in, and to lean back so well

My ship did not come with the build instructions so I am figuring out  many small details...

Once again beautiful build!
