Compare this to the first post where the meths burner wanted to jump out of the firebox in the post linked here to the first video.

I made bushings out of brass hose barbs (2 required ..I cut them off in the middle and retained the flange )

I shimmed the trunnion bolt with .005 Teflon wrapped around it to cover the shoulder it rides in...

I shimmed the crankpin with the same...

And I balanced the flywheel on my propeller balancer........

She runs allot smoother now ....got rid of the gravel crusher sound it had....video shot with same camera phone so compare the volume.

I enjoy tweeking these engines and smoothing them out....

at first I wondered if it was even running! you could run that in the middle of the night right next to the person sleeping and not wake them! AMAZING!

Jim, you ought to think about offering a "rehab shop service"...folks could send you their noisy, rattling engines and you could turn them into precision machines.

The difference is amazing !!!
