It's a nice day so I thought i would fire a couple of engines . I decided to fire my second ever Mamod, which is this late 70's TE1a. I fired it on solid fuel and went really well . It should be making an apperance at STIA 2008 (thinking ahead I know)
The video is below, I had to cut it short as the bloody phone rang... to make things worse I didn't get there in time

You've just gotta love it I must get a 76 TE1A to complement my SR1A and the imminent arrival of my birthday present (of which more in 12 days!). There's just something about TE1A's that you love, although I for one cannot put it into words _________________ Si

MM...you are getting a real knack for taking quality pictures...those look gorgeous in the sunshine, I must try that...much better than indoor lighting.
Enjoyed the video and even heard the phone ringing at the end.!!
cheers,

ITs not often we get nice days in England so I steamed My loco, SE3, Bowman, TE1a.
Unfortunately Chuck the idiot who cemented my patio when the house was new did a very crappy job and whenever it hits a lump it crashes to a stop
Yep that was the throttle and reverse lever, the lever points in the direction the engine is running! Very clever idea!
TE1a's just have bags of charm and are so simple! You can't hate them really _________________ Solid Fuel tablets explode
