I just found and watched the spanner video, it seems to be a very simple but clever idea. _________________ Les - Nolo Servile Capistrum

I picked up one of the M&S specials about a year ago, one of the diggers, and I was wondering when did Meccano start using hex head bolts?? _________________ Les - Nolo Servile Capistrum

When it first appeared I thought it was a great idea. what I did not realise at the time was that it seems to be replacing the original spammer in all the sets. We just bought a new Design 5 set and that now has the new spanners - better hang on to some of the old ones as it looks like they will be no more...
Here's what we do to spanners... CLICK HERE

Les,
They have been using hex-head bolts for a while now - we love-'em! But the best improvement was the introduction of hex-grub screws.

I don't think there's going to be any shortage of traditional spanners any time soon. I have more than I know what to do with! _________________ __________
