Last night at midnight I were getting ready for bed, when this here programme came on the telly!! It was called "Clarissa and the King's Cookbook". This queer owd cook called Clarrisa Dickenson (or summat) was at the Old Hall in Gainsborough, Lincoln Cathedral and was fishing the Trent at Morton Corner (about 1/2 mile down from the bank we own)

She was in the kitchen like, like most cooks are, with the fires all going and that! I were like "Urgh, I'm from Gainsborough!"

Just wanted you to keep an eye out for it, would be good for you to see it

Clarissa Dickson Wright. was one of the 2 fat ladies James, great TV series.

She is a very bright lady, has an interesting past.

Was it on BBC mate, as the iplayer on BBC.co.uk can be used to watch it any time for a week, downloaded for a month.

Would have thought shed have called by, would have had a grithy greeting I bet

Heres some stuff on her- father was Surgeon to the queen

Maybe a bit before your time,

The 2 fat ladies drove around in a motorbike and sidecar- visited some interesting places and all - herring smokeries. and old stuff

Think they would appeal to you, they spoke their mind

Sadly the other fat lady died few years ago
