the bloke who owns steam4fun lives about 10mins away from my brother, so i thought id have a ride over to see him today.

what a nice bloke!! and he does a great jobs on his engines too!! i bought a new canopy for my wilesco roller, (like the one on his upgraded models) (10 quid), a new chimney for the wilesco foster with a chimey cowl on (like on his upgraded wilesco models) (10 quid), some boiler bands that are real brass that you fold around the boiler, drill and bolt together (6 quid for a big roll), a new wilesco chimey (2 quid!!), and a new wilesco burner (6 quid).

we had a very good talk! and my brother was getting bored

i saw that 4.5inch foden what a beauty!

i gave him a link to the forums, so he will be visiting as a guest, if not a member.

he can get ANY mamod or wilesco in to order, as well as ALL mamod and wilesco spares.

overall, a very nice bloke, and very highly reccomended!!!

Yeh, i think it is 350 for the showmans (wilesco) but that is with chimney extension, coal in the tender with a little tray made of angle iron, new chimeny, lining out, brass boiler bands, headlamps, painted in your choice of colour, whatever you wasnt on the side of the canopy, tyres, etc

he said he has only made 1, he didnt want to sell it but somebody made him "an offer he couldnt refuse" so he let them have it. he showed me his mamod pricelist too. he can buy new buses for 300 now, the RRP is 525!! stupid! told me some tales about new te1as and sw1s etc too

been on with buying a fairground organ. about 1.5 feet and about 1 foot high. it had beads around it that i will replace with lights, it has little people with symbols, fake pipes etc like a replica one. it has space for a cd player so you can play organ music and it all works to the tune of the music. 45 quid. in bedfordshire, there was the same type of one, and it was 165. going to get it tomorrow, if it hasnt gone... would look great with the showmans

Well I know what he means because you see them at every steam fair, but if you don't go to steam fairs you'll never see them.
