I have received several inquiries regarding the stepper generators I build for sale on EBAY.The following pictures show the setup.
There are several configurations that I make from time to time. They are not always available and their price varies depending on the cost of the materials. PM me for details. |

I wonder how my Jensen 20 would fare with the SSG model.... I might have to get one of those regardless. _________________

I dont know mark that thing is pretty stiff... my d32 spins it ok, but to sincere unless the steam engine is quite powerful, once the gen stiffens under load it is very hard to spin it. I do run electric motors with it though and someone that bought one, runs an electric train with it:

I do think you have seen it before though.... |

Well.... I *plan* to have a Jensen 50 one day. Or maybe I can gang 2 20's together (if I get another one...)
Imagine, burning some 1500+ watts of power to produce a couple watts in return... man: sounds like the very definition of fun to me! _________________

If not what about a Stuart Turner D10? |
I looked them up in the internet and they look quite impressive, but I really do not know if they could drive the SSG. The only point of reference I personally have is that a D32 can drive them. About the jensen 50's, I am just guessing really.
Sorry I cant be of more help, but I would hate to steer you into a generator that is incorrectly sized for your engine. |

LOL, I know what you mean! My neighbor was making fun of my d32 setup, as I was moving a small dc motor w/ propeller using a stepper, but needing as much current to drive an industrial grade fan to power the D32!
Oh... the foolishness of it all! LOL |
