That was great fun! Some great shots of the two loco's racing along side by side down the straight! Good little wiggle from the little tank loco as it negotiates the curves, cold weather makes for healthy steam effects too!

I love this shot!

Nice John...puts a good cold morning to productive use.

Really enjoyed seeing the two almost racing each other.

I doubt that scene can be duplicated in too man Indiana garages.
They both need cars to pull, as they run, they speed up and eventually it is difficult to stay on even the 72" radius curves.

It really surprised me as the 234 actually overtook the 300 and the 234 was traveling a greater distance.

Now I must get one.......!!!!!!!!!!  Real Steam out the stacks.....very neat!

So much for the new 027 stockpile of track i have...ugh...Its for my Marx.

Too tight a radius right?

I bet the 300 would do OK on a 30" radius, dont know, but the problem with 027 is the height of the rail, the flanges will hit the ties and derail  The 234 does good steam out the stack.
Mamod SL Locos have smoke out of the stack too, the New Mamod Train exhausts like my 300, out the side underneath.
