New arrival to the Mamodman clan . This 1963 TE1 I bought a while back (not on ebay) came today .

It looks to be a very early version, differs a little from the last one i had (now in good hands). The canopy is the slightly earlier type, and the bolts on the canopy are slot instead of cross headed ones. Not seen too many of these nut and bolters although Dauntless has a total minter

It's quite rough, knocks, scraps, chips etc....... chrome is a little rusty but I have a new idea for that which i'll be testing out . The engine is boxed... well just about, very rough box has the burner, scuttle and steering rod so that's also a bonus. I'm going to clean her up today and tomorrow so i'll post up some more pictures when she's done.

Has potential.

Notice some kid has written something on the boiler in silver pen

Wheels will need a damn good polish! will take a long time!

There you can see the other side

Chrome is rusty, but i have a new idea for that, wet and dry is too harsh I think, so i'll try something else

Closer picture of the boiler etc!

Early type canopy!

There is a load of rust around the back!

Closer picture of the chrome!

Grpahics on the box!

What is left of the box is here

Burner, steering rod + entension.

Excellent canopy writing, this one isn't a mod ste ractor

All in all, should clean up well what do you think guys?

Has potential? It's an absolute beauty mate.

I think if you carefully decipher the silver writing on the boiler, you will find that it says, "Property of Yosa, if found please return".

Brilliant touch mate, nice one.

that would explain the EFC 4 EVA on the box

This is the first one made by mamod! I think its earlier than most Ive seen as the canopy bolts are smaller and slottled, instead of the bigger headed phillips headed bolts!

Note the closeup of the box and where the exhaust throttle is

This one popped up the same way as some others I have bought. There is a bloke down the bottom of my road on abbey green industrial estate who does house clearances

I'm always on the look-out for the rarer stuff!

I've had a few engines from him, an SP3, an SR1 now this!

I guess if you clear enough houses... you will eventually find one

Maybe an SE4 or Twin MM2
