The collection to date comprises the following engines, all of which are fired from time to time.
Traction Engines:
Mamod Goliath Piston Valve
Mamod Te1a
Wilesco D409 Showmans
Mercer Type 2
Stationary Engines:
Wilesco D22
Wilesco D21
Wilesco D20
Wilesco D455
Wilesco D14
Mamod SE3
Mamod SP4
Mamod SP6
Jensen 75
Engine number 14 is a box of rusty and missing parts for a Wilesco D415 traction engine, an ongoing project.
I'm trying hard to resist the siren calls of for example, Bowman, Fleischmann and Marklin engines whenever they appear on eBay. |

Welcome to the forums
That is a fantastic collection . I need to get a SP6.
What is the clearance like between the rear wheels and flywheel on the goliath with the tyres on? My challenger has very little clearance so I can't get tyres on. I know Rollers aren't meant to have tyres, but I thought they must have been the same with the TE's _________________

That D21 is a particularly handsome engine. The cast rods really do the trick. Of course, the traction engines are my favorites, particularly the Mercer. _________________ Wasserstand beachten |

Y'know... a smokebox door casting would look nice on the showman's engine... _________________ Wasserstand beachten |
