Well with nothing on TV last night I was subject to watching the movie on TV called "The Man who saved Christmas"

I rang my Dad, since he collects Meccano, and he knew all about Erector sets, which is kinda what the movie was about, kinda.

Anyway, I think TE1a Man has some of it.

I looked it up on ebay, and it's some nice looking stuff
Have our US members had much to do with it?

Yeah, Dad gave me the full story

But I like the little added specialised bits they seem to have.

Currently working on a Ferris wheel, and hoping the 24 1/2" girders arrive tomorrow, for Dad, but I'll use them first

I hadn't heard of this movie before now. I'll have to see it, sounds interesting.
I watched Denis Leary's, Merry F%$# Christmas. Not for the children, but very funny.

Haven't seen the Dennis Leary one

The man who saved Christmas is more for kids, but interesting to see all old presses and such in a small workshop for making erector sets.

It has George from Seinfield in it.

I won't ruin the story for you, but it mentions at the end about the real guy that is played by George (maker of erector sets), when he died, and how his company went on to make other toys, and that the first artifical heart was made from erector set parts.

As I said, there was nothing else on TV, but glad I watched it
