Top fuel? Turbines? All useless modern junk if you want real power.

Awesome! I've always wanted to see this done. I used to watch tractor pulls when I lived in Holland. They seem to love it over there!

A steam engine under heavy load works best when it goes slowly to allow the steam to expand fully , so a full pull is obvious. Itīs really spectacular but no wonder for people dealing with steam like we do. A great video it is by any means.

There is practically no expansion of steam going on there - they are running the engine with steam being admitted to the cylinder through virtually all of the stroke.

Gives them maximum torque even at low revs.

I think that is the distance travelled, a full pull is 100 meters.
