We took this video today.
With the Showman's Engine the fair can run fast or slow.
I like fast.
Last night we had it running the engine lights as well.

Quite a sight and sound for sure. It works beautifully, but a tad slower might prevent whiplash claims by the riders
Perhaps a Jensen 25 on a dimmer control would throttle things down somewhat without boiler pressure rising. _________________ Visit IndianaRog and The Temple of Steam: www.indianarog.com |

With the dynamo connected on the Showman's Engine the speed is very authentic. Even without, you can set the regulator to achieve the appropriate speed, as at the very beginning of the video.
As it says in the credits, I shot the video. Andrew ran the engine, ......and he likes fast. _________________ Richard

At last!
Oh my, that is impressive!
And the showman's certainly in keeping.
Congratulations to all involved in its creation & operation & thank you for my sunny ringside seat
(Perhaps with another engine running some lighting for the fairground we could have some glorious night shots? ) |

What a fine set-up. Good to see it in action. Especially liked the ground level camera
shots in the middle. Felt like I was there walking around the rides and the TE. _________________ -Chuck
