This is my little 42x27 inch layout. I have always been in to trains for most of my 58 years and I do not think there are many children that do not like them. My 7-year-old grandson loves running them. I have trains on it now that will not go so fast where he can derail them. I have many a steam locomotive but only run them when my grandson is not around till he gets older as if one of them derails there goes a lot of money. I all so have HO and O scale but no layouts for them. I have quite a bit of prewar Lionel handed down 3 generations. Sorry about the poor quality but all I have is an OLD cheap video camera.

Very nice, Jeff.  You have it quite well detailed, and that in itself adds a lot of charm.  You get quite a bit of railroad
in a small place with N gauge.  I had a layout in that gauge on a piece of plywood that just fit under my bed
when I was in my teens.  Spent many hours making trees and shrubbery out of lichen and that other mossy
stuff.  Some small buildings and cars, and quite a bit of rail track fit on that piece of ply.  Was about 5'6" long and 4' wide.
I had fun with that setup!  Gave it to a younger cousin of mine when I moved out of the folks house at 17.

Thanks for showing your railroad!

Impressive how much detail and eye pleasing stuff you got into that small area , it deserve a trophy of some kind. I allways wanted to get into trains but never had the permanent space required.

I'm working on one at the moment that's 28 by 30 inches. I'll post some pics when it's done. Obviously, though, it won't be as complex as yours.
