First time I ever made a vid to post. Sorry for the quality. My Kodak is an old one. Oh yes. I have asthma and you can hear me breathing on one. Just call me Swamp Monster stalking the old steam boat. It was windy outside and hard to keep the Esbit going. First vid has the boat going a little slow. 2nd vid has it somewhat faster. Spot of water on the lens on the 2nd vid. I need a bigger prop to get a little more speed.

Hopefully a change of prop will make all the difference.

Is "real" steam boats really "that" slow(no offense meant); seeing some videos they could be quite fast IMHO:

First a steam launch (with a compound engine though) capable of 19! knots:

Then one with a single cylinder engine, I could be wrong but I estimate the speed to ~5 knots(not full throttle?):

(Sorry for not embedding)
