Besides the obvious that they are made by different companies and are painted different colours, is there any differnece?
Is one made of heavier guage sheet metal, better quality build etc?
Or are they identical? (excluding the new Mamod William loco) _________________ http://www.freewebs.com/ozsteam/index.htm

Basically the only difference is the steam dome and the badge I'm pretty sure other than that they are exactly the same! _________________ Solid Fuel tablets explode

I think the MSS ones are better, they are less complicated and do look a little more to scale.
Although the Mamod ones look really nice when polished up _________________ Solid Fuel tablets explode

I have green MSS one, they run a bit slower, more clanky, and possibly a bit smoother than the mamods _________________ Si

I'd have thought that might be down to upgraded pistons fitted as standard? _________________ Solid Fuel tablets explode
