Hi again,
I am also looking (more than for a hotair engine) for a Small Steam Roller.
But not a Wilesco or Mamod...
It should work like the big thing with feed pump, reversing gear and so on.

Maybe somebody has such a thing (I'm thinking of about 30-50cm long vehicle)

I even would give one of my best engines away for a Scale built Steam Roller

hi Damp. I found some for you, but they're terribly expensive.

If you check that same ForestClassics site, you will see a section on DR Mercer traction engines.

Mercers are between toy quality and the Markie level of quality and the prices are fair. They come in kit form, semi-finished (add paint), or ready to fire and fully painted to owner specs. Quite good looking and very well built from what I have seen. Two of our members have them and are happy with them. You can see videos of them on the Forest Classics site and there are a few videos on this site as well.

I read somewhere that they also offer a roller of the same quality, worth checking out.

cheers,
Roger
