Here is my install of a M66 dynamo to my second D-20 Wilesco.

Runs on the large pulley and works just fine!

Notice also How silky smooth and quiet this Wilesco is now....serious tweakadge!

Only bad thing(s) about the dynamo is there is no mounting hardware and the wires are short, stiff, and un soldered to the dynamo...But that was ok with me as I hardwired and soldered all connections, and used different wire anyhow.

May be a problem for some....

Jim

Jim,

Very professionally installed by a real professional!!!  I too like your crazy bulb, time for Sat. Nite Fever!

Glad it came OK and was a working accessory right out of the box!

I can hardly believe my ears, your D20 is amazing. It makes my elderly D20 sound like a rattle box. How did you make it run so smoothly?

.....brass tube axle bearings and Teflon....... thin .005 sheet.

I have shimmed and re-done every joint in the engine bay.
I drilled out the bearing towers and sleeved em with brass tube.
I cut Teflon bearing sleeves out of the sheet and drilled all the rods over sized and wrapped the bolts with Teflon for a bearing.

Its a bit of work but I didn't like the 10 thousands slop in the parts fit.

There is a tutorial in the Technical topics forum somewhere....I did a step by step.

Jim

Jim,

Beautiful work, as usual!

I assume that you had to drill the base of the D20 to mount the generator?
