I didn't intend to add yet another scale and another locomotive to the collection. But, I loved the engine and got a price I could not resist. So, I am now the proud owner of yet another custominzed Roundhouse loco, this time, an ex-Lady Anne. Without further ado, a photo...

It is a Lady Anne boiler and chassis, but the bodywork is all new, made by a friend of mine. He also modified the frames at the rear and added the trailing truck.

Lady Annes are great runners, you won't regret buying it.
Roundhouse also give great customer service if you ever need spare parts.

I believe that this is the fifth Roundhouse loco to pass into my hands. Two have departed only because of a change in focus and gauge.

Their service IS legendary, and their reputation well deserved. This particular loco has seen LOTS of running time in its 12 years of life and was in need of new eccentric rods expansion links, and crank pins for all of the involved joints. In truth, it also needs new side and connecting rods, but they do not affect the timing and are not causing problems. At any rate, I emailed my dealer about getting the parts I wanted and Roundhouse had a quote back to me within 12 hours. Of course, I have interests outside of the Roundhouse product line, but where possible, I am a Roundhouse believer through and through.

I forgot to add that the loco also came equipped with a Fowler tender. My friend who did the bodywork thoughfully set the backsheet of the cab up such that the loco can acceptably run with or without the tender. Once I finish the minor overhaul in a couple of weeks, I shall take a comparison photo with the tender. However, at this point, I think that it will likely spend most, if not all of its time operating sans tender.
