Yesterday was a beautiful day, so the missus and I decided to take the car for a run down the Ayrshire coast to Culzean Castle. (Pronounced "Kilane").

It's only about a 30 minute run and it's absolutely stunning. We really take our countryside for granted here, as we have such a beautiful coastline.

Here are a few pics.

It looks beautiful, and you had perfect weather for it too. What a place that would be for a garden railway!

Absolutely gorgeous, Sandy.   Especially at this time of year.

I could spend months exploring Scotland's ancestral homes.

Love the palms, but the lake would need clearing out a bit to allow some serious boating.
