EDIT: New Video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9Cx128DQBM

I recently picked up two Bing engines (both with dynamos) from Robin Corsiglia off ebay. (Thanks Al for pointing one of them out to me )

The previous owner stated this one is either a Model 10/116/1(made 1914 to 1924) or 130/531 (made 1925-1929), I'm not sure which one though.

The following video shows it on its first run "out of the box" or as arrived. (The only repair I made so far was replacing the wire from the light post to the dynamo and the light bulb)

I was only running it on 2 of the 3 wicks. The seals need replacement, and I was using the old spring belt that came with the engine. I was surprised this little engine even lit the light bulb without the minor repairs, and in fact it did quite well!

After the repairs it should be a great runner!

So, here is a short video of it running in the dark. (I will make a video of it later running in the daylight and a few more at sunset so the light can be seen.)

And here is a picture I took while it was running (you can see the bulb is lit)

Nice acquisition Nick, it looks to me to be a 10/116/1 but the date I have for that is c1926.

Looks really nice, Nick!
The difference in pulley diameter is impressive, the dynamo must be really revving!

Beautiful engine Nick and no hesitation lighting the lamp.  I just love dynamo's for some reason and the old ones like you have there are gorgeous.

It's mostly cloudy out today, so it should be perfect condition for capturing both the engine and the dynamo with the light lit, all at the same time.

I'll see if I can find a decent spot out of the wind and give it a try...

Nice engine, I hope to own one of those myself one day....

But I'd like to point out the brass boiler band holding the boiler is not original, that engine did not have such a thing

Excellent video Nick.

How about letting us hear a bit of commentary though. It would be nice to hear your dulcet tones.

I was wondering about that. Whoever added the band did a good job on it and must have done it quite awhile ago (I looked through the pictures I took of it and these all show it a little better):
