My NZ, Auld roller arrived yesterday. A big thank you to Tony for all his help. This is one well travelled little roller having in the last few weeks had to go from NZ to OZ and then all the way to the UK before crossing a bit of sea again to get to the Isle of Man.
As Tony and I have already done lots of pictures, I thought I'd just add a couple more of both the Auld with it's older relative the Cranko. The Auld dates from the 1970's(ish) and the Cranko 1950's(ish).

Yep a bit like father and son. God we're a soft pair.

Father and son is probably even a better description as the David Auld roller is definitely inspired by the Cranko one.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. The two do have a lot in common.

What a great pair Manxman!. They look great. Going to have get myself an Auld to partner the two Cranko's.

I would have to agree. Auld also made a Traction Engine. I had been tinking I'd be ok with just the roller but it is a very nice model. A Traction Engine (with the Auld canopy) maybe on my want list in a few months time.

Nice one Manxman. Does the burner on the green one go in the same place as the blue one?

The Auld (blue one isn't it) looks to be in extremely good condition

No, the burners fit is a bit different. You're right the Auld (blue) is a very solid piece of metal. Going to be lots of fun, when I give it a go.

Manx, nice pair of rollers and the father/son analogy really seems to apply, I can see many close similarities. Auld was no fool...might as well build on the proven Cranko concept.

They both look steamable from here, hope you can.

cheers,
Rog
