Mind you the boiler may have been blued originally but the parts you need occur from time to time on German ebay

Sorry, lads, I beg to differ. Repainting, to my mind, does not improve vintage steam engines (this does not mean I want to criticize your individual effort here, a general observation...). No offence intended, but, as the old Romans used to say "de gustibus non est disputandum" (there is no use in argueing about matters of individual taste...).

if it was left in the condition i got it in it would have rusted away it had all of its paint removed (not by me) and needed sorting out as 2 of the boiler inserts had fallen off and were rattling around inside the boiler and the steam pipes had been badly solderd in so it needed the work doing
