It just astounds me how mach material, and especially the quality of that material, has been posted here over this long weekend. I wonder how many hours of just video has been logged, let alone all the stills and the comments.
It may well take me the rest of the month to look through it all, and so much of it begs to be seen far more than just the once.
While this task which lays before me is truly daunting, it is also quite delightful!!! _________________ Are we having fun yet?

I agree.
The quality and rarity of the machines posted at the STWWW was indeed astounding.
It also emphasises the global nature of the forum, as engines from all over the world were displayed.
There's no where else that could even scratch this forums ability to produce the goods.
Another triumph for our members and our forum. _________________ http://www.sandmansteamshack.co.uk/

For me it was the ideas as well, like Ross with his hidden engines, and the Moose family.
For many, myself included that can be as inspiring as the only cockleburgermeister known to exist in Aucterarder _________________ You cant get an engine for that anymore unless you are lucky |

Cockleburgermeister is one of those extremely rare words that produces no (zero) hits in Google (Try entering a few random characters into Google - it will usually come up with something.)
BTW, cockleburgermeisters are two a penny in Aucterarder. The problem is to find Aucterarder, It's certainly nowhere near Auchterarder _________________ Regards

It's alright give it a few weeks and this page will be indexed by Google and then it will have at least one hit. _________________ http://www.freewebs.com/ozsteam/index.htm

Thanks for this comment and the following contributions. Plus: it saves me from extolling the same again.
It has been a thoroughly enjoyable experience, thanks everybody! |

I was pleased in two ways : To make an entry and to read the entries of others . One was as exciting to me as the other . I must admit that there are a lot of people here who don´t only qualify with their technical knowledge but also with a huge amount of phantasy and creativity . I like it to be one of them, that means the forum is a real great place and I am proud to be one of the members .
cheers Joe |

As a newcomer to The Forum I found the STWWW amazing!
Daunting, but amazing and I'm just glad that I joined in time to witness and (in a small way) participate
I know that the dust is only just settling after the display halls were cleared of the 2011 detritus now everyone has packed up and gone home (or to the pub over the road ), but all I can say is
ROLL ON STWWW 2012! |
