Our forum is a great place to meet and talk about toy steam. We want everyone to have a good time but the Internet is like the real world and we all have to take care of our own safety.

Unfortunately there are good and not so good people in all walks of life. A person communicating with you on our forum can tell you anything they want. Sometimes these things are true, sometimes they may be a little exaggerated but sometimes they can be complete lies.

We are very fortunate to have members of all ages but that also means that we have to look after each other and make the forum a safe place for all our users. We would ask everyone to follow our new 6 point Chat Safe Plan.

1) Think very carefully before you give out any personal details like photos of yourself or other information that can be used to identify you. The forum does not need your address, the name of your school (place of work), or your mobile number. Please try not to share these details unless you are sure it is for a genuine reason.

2) Don't take anyone at face value. They may not be what they seem. Everyone on our forum has a profile page but these cannot be checked for accuracy.

3) Never arrange to meet someone that you've only spoken to on the forum without first telling your parents or those who care for you (we all have someone who cares for us). If you are going to meet someone, take a responsible adult with you and always arrange a first meeting in a public place.

4) Always try and stay in the open areas of the forum where other people are around. We all use PMs to discuss private sales but no one should be asking you for long conversations away from the open parts of our site.

5) Don't open any attachments or download any files sent to you unless you are sure you can trust the person who has sent them. There are very few reasons for anyone on our forum to send this kind of information, and when we do, it is normally in the open and on boards that can be read by all members.

6) Finally, never respond directly to anything you find disturbing. Please save any messages and let us know. We want to run a toy steam site that is safe for all our users and we will deal with any concerns with sensitivity and respect.

Our forum is run by 6 people. They are on-line most days and you can tell who they are as there names are always highlighted in red or blue. This group of people have known each other for sometime and although we live in different parts of the world, one of us is often logged into the forum most of the time.

Remember you are the person who is using a keyboard to communicate in a virtual on-line world. You are in control of your own posts. We'd like to hope you will use these same rules when visiting other on-line chat rooms and forums. Keep yourself safe.

And please remember, if you are in anyway worried about someone on our site then let us know.
