makes a lovely chuff too, have you put a chuff pipe on it?

My SL1 has these cylinders, when it runs it should hopefully sound like that.

Great to see that Marvin is capable of pulling a good load Graham.

Looks like we will now be having a competition for whose Mamod type loco can pull the most.

The May 1996 Garden Rail review of the IP Jane had it pulling 16 wooden vehicles, so I've got something to aim for!

On the first lap I was sure it had stalled twice but then it just kept on going.

You need to fit a little sand box to it to stop that wheel slip though.

I like how slow it got, even stopping, but then it just kept on going. Great sound too.

I enjoyed it a lot, how steep is the incline that slows it?

Must be somewhat steep as it flies down the hill.

But of course in Mamod/MSS terms that 1 in 80 is a very steep mountain.

Trial and error, you should be able to get it flat eventually?

I do too. It was great to see it at such a slow speed, even stopping, but then it took off on its own.
