1 of Petrie shed's whistles had a wipe over by me & mydad. Sorry, I don't have a before pic.
my dad and I rubbed & rubbed it with brasso, then dad gave it a buffing then a spray with anti tarnish.
my dad said I'd better get to petrie early next Sunday, before other members realise a whistle's missing.  Can't try whistle on my boiler- thread too big.
top of whistle it reads "Michigan Lubricator making co."

Nice looking whistle 
I would like to get one of those. I've seen some
Lunkheimer whistles in a local antique shop.
I thought it might be fun to hook up one to my
air compressor, but I might upset my
neighbors.

Too bad the pipe size is not compatible to your boiler . 
I think thats some kind of special purpose whistle , i`ve seen similar but dont recall what the story is .

Clinton, you and dad make a great polishing team...I bet the Petrie folks wouldn't mind you nicking a whistle after every show day...so long as you have it back and looking bright and shiny by next show day!
