...but here's a video of my just assembled 17 inch Aero windmill operating on fan power. Took 2-3 hours to assemble from a kit and very pleased with quality. I plan to get a second one and mod to run off a steam engine...this one will be going outdoors on the deck railing just enjoy watching.

Cool, I like it. I bet it would not be that hard to hook up to a pulley

I like your idea of powering it with the exhaust.

As always a great video to watch Rog
I will have a quick look on eBay US and see how much shipping would be to the UK

My brother would come home with one of those every time he visited the States & every time they just got bigger
The last one stands several feet high & can even light a small bulb if blowing a gale

Interesting item, must look at getting one and are you sure you are not a salesman for the company??

Naa Les,
I'm NOT a salesman for the company...but I do like them so much I just ordered a second one!! The first is now mounted outdoors on a railing near corner of the house that gets plenty of wind...it is spinning merrily!
Second one I get will be used to convert it to run off a steam engine by addition of pulleys etc.
Surely someone selling these will ship OUS? If not and you are really wanting one, I can tranship for you.
cheers,
Rog

I knew you wasn't, it just sounds like you are. Maybe they will give you a job.
Thankyou for your offer of transhipping, If I cannot find someone who will ship direct I will let you know.

The kit itself works out about four times dearer than the one in the US.
Thanks for looking.

Roger paid $15 for his which is about £7.50, and the from Aus. is roughly £29.
A couple of members in America have kindly offered to post one on for me.
So whoever is selling them in Aus. is making a nice profit.
