The SE1 I recently bought on ebay arrived today:

The burner was not included, it's from my mm2.

The engine looks ok, but has been restored (and not good enought for my standards

))

The frame is the wrong colour, and the disc cranc needs some red paint. It realy looks like someone filed out the mamod logo

The cylinder and safety valve are wrong (from more modern engine)

The union nut looks like it's replaced too, and what does that hole in the chimney do there? The top of the chimney looks like someone used pliers on it, or something like that

Looks like the safety valve thread has been resoldered, but I now know how to clean that up.

That paint isn't heat resistant

All the esensial parts are there, and I knew this one needed some work. I will probably do a total restore, and repaint it too. (the paint on the firebos isn't heat resistant either)

Good one Erik...all the key bits are there, she'll look great with a new dress on, right paint and some elbow grease.

Quite like my one mate.

When I got it , the base was badly scorched on the top as well where some burning material had been left.

I was lucky enough to find an exact match and so was able to save the decal.

I've put a pic below.

I agree Erik, a total restore job on this one mate. Not sure why there is a hole in the chimney that high up

Union nut look replaced but that one will do the job ok Erik!

Your decals are on the way, so once you have sprayed up that base you'll be able to stick a decal on it

Chimney is a strange one... looks like someone has tried to flare it out or something
