Started cleaning this this morning. I bought it from STIA for £20, with a MM1 lamp.

I took it to bits, and washed all the base and that in soapy warm water. Ass brass was cleaned with Burnishing Compound and polished out with Brasso.

I was cleaning the pipe work, and the bloody pipe came out from the engine block. Will have to solder it in later.

So it's worth being an exhibitor just to get first crack in the dealers tent. I'll bear that in mind.....

I'll get there a bit earlier next time. There was literally a load of crud in the dealers tent when I arrived.

I bought all the engines with old whistles, nicked the old whistles, bought new ones and put them on, so now I have about 3 spare old whistles
