1976 MM2 Restoration - COMPLETED! (new pic added)

suppose I should've put 1976 MM2 base in here    (see C&P)

anyway, my dad & I have been progressing well.

I sanded f.box a few nights ago.

here's the result after 1st coat of vht paint- sprayed this evening. I'm quite pleased .

2nd coat has been applied- as instructed on can.

Les Marsh

Well done, it will be an impressive looking engine when you have finished it.
paul_c

It will look good when it is all done
tmuir

I do like the VHT paint.
It gives a great finish once baked.
johnreid

Looks great, with the base and firebox repainted, you're half way done.

... hey, that looks great, mate! I, too, like the vht paint. And an MM2 is exactly one I want as a companion for my Jensen #85.

This will be great.  There will be lots of brass to polish on top of your good work with the paint.

I'm sure it will be a fine model again soon

... darn nice! Are you going to re-paint the fly wheel?
tmuir

Looks good, if your planning on running it no need to polish the brass as it will just get dirty again.

I hate polishing brass.
johnreid

You need to discover Semichrome Tony, it would change your mind.
oldstuff

Nick
