70s Mamod SR1A

I bought two sr1as at stia this year one for 35 pounds and the other one for 25 pounds. The 35 pound one had been repainted and i broke the whistle thread on it    so i sold that one to jim

the other one though which i bought for 25 pound i cleaned up and in the end wasent such a bad buy

any dates of it would be appriecated  mm rekons its a 74 one whcih it most likely is

A realy nice example.  To help date it I notice it has the two small holes in the rear of the firebox that would hold the carrier for the TE canopy wire.  Not sure when that set up changed to the way it is now?

That may help or not?  Certainly looks like the 1970's lighter green.

A fine engine
Griffin

About 72/73 Lew, it has the plain firebox sides, so pre dates the SW1.
