A Challenging Lot of StuffThis is started off as an update of an earlier post in which I asked advice about track on which to display my O gauge brass model of a Northern Pacific Challenger.
http://modelsteam.myfreeforum.org/about51395.html
I hope to make a detailed reply to that later, but thought this rather packed general shot might be of interest (if a bit fuzzy). That's the brass Challenger on the top shelf. It's a monster, quite a bit larger the the G scale Aster Schools Class below.
There's a bunch of rockets on the lower left. The center vertical one is a genuine Masuya from the 1960s. On the left is a Hungarian knock-off from the 1980s and on the right, a contemporary Chinese copy.
Below in the center is a 1950s "Space Rocket Ship" from the Automatic Toy Company of Staten Island, New York. On the left and right are a couple of identical Japanese rockets from the 1960s. One of these I got complete in very dusty box from a store in Boynton beach, Florida, for the price marked ($1.69).
On the top right showing Lloyd George (with Churchill, Balfour and others at the top left) is an enamel advertisement for the Passing Show, a UK magazine popular in the 1920s. This was a real steal. I got it on Craig's List as a "a picture of Einstein" for $30.
Below on the right, is one of my many Bing-Wolf kettles.
Under the chair I just noticed my Roomba robotic vacuum cleaner, which again needs a new battery. I think I've had enough of it and should just salvage the power supply and other parts and use the space for some more stuff
