A collection of NZ made steam enginesHi all
As well as my fascination for SEL engines, I also collect engines from home.
Here is the Australian-based part of my NZ steam collection
Left hand side: 2 Brimo (Brian Moss) engines.
Centre Rear: Graham Craw (sometimes sold under name Steamcraft)
Middle: Cranko roller and Cranko stationary
Left Hand side and front: a collection of David Auld engines.
My favourites? This is hard. The Brimo at the back and the Auld verticle. Although for shear power and steam pleasure, the huge grey Auld marine. That thing flies
It is very dull today - hence the lack of clarity in the pic

That is an impressive collection, and I bet that a few were not that easily obtained.

Stitch, you have a collection OZ pieces that would make any steamer proud.
Another startling observation...look at how bright those colors are Surely inviting to any lad from 8 to 88

Ah Rog they are NZ engines not OZ.
But I would be happy to have that vertical engine as it would go nicely with my OZ ones.

Nice !
I've never seen 80% of the models you have posted.
Those never show up in the states and I doubt Europe also.
Great variety with different looks--Would like to see more

Thank you all for the comments
Rog, you are right. I hadn't noticed how colourful they all were until I grouped them for the pic. They tend to be scattered around the house.
Bigal - I have seen a Cranko stationary and an Auld roller on US Ebay once before.

Oh they are great. I'm fortunate enough to own 3 NZ mobiles (and maybe a forth soon). It's only thanks to the forum I have any of them and really, Tony (tmuir) who has helped me loads with buying them.
I do enjoy seeing others collections and especially those that are just that little bit different. What a great hobby amd so many engines to collect.

Again, thank you all for the kind comments. It is the result of a lifetime of wishing and about 3 years actual collecting Some of the other members here have inspired me with their collections. Collecting NZ engines helps me come to terms with being homesick
Cranko: thanks for setting that straight. I always get the two mixed.
Kritika: how about an all expenses paid fly fishing trip? Cranko rollers do appear every now and then. Prices can be variable. I found mine in an antique shop last time I was home.
Mamodman: which one mate. Auld or the Cranko?
