A fully operational PT Boat ( not steam)Ok ,Not a steam event at all- but I think I am safe to say that these small much heralded boats from WW2 are now represented in RUNNING condition in one place in the world...right here in Portland Oregon
It has been a labor of love for many older vets and other supporters. She has just been fitted with more original armament so this is how she looks today

I have a fond place in my heart for these little plywood boats powered by 3 5M-2500 Packard-Marine V12 Engines. 1,500 HP each..Some ski boat for sure
Sorry for the huge photos..if the mods know how to tone done the size I'd be obliged..

Awesome! There was an old, non-running one hidden away in the Sacramento River Delta. Not sure what ever happened to it...

This one is a "Higgins" model...she is awesome to see take off and hear those engines at full throttle, 4,500 Hp puts out a wake that a wake-boarder could only dream of
