Am I the LastWell I'm home. Plane landed about an hour ago. I'll catch up on everyones posts that I've missed in the next few days. I had a great time and it was good to say hello to so many people.
Mobiles were a little thin on the ground. I saw only 1 Mastrand, 1 Weeden, a couple of Bings, a few Marklins and then loads of Mamod and Wilesco. The guy who last year had the Butcher and Renown mobiles, did display again this year, but brought a different part of his collection.
I did buy one thing. A good price and fair for what it is. A nice little Weeden Traction Engine. It cost a little more than it should but was still a good price. I'll do pics in the next couple of days.

I missed you loads of times Manx. In the end I gave up, as James could not remember what you looked like when you visited the forum table!
You went from being small and rotund, to tall and thin with grey hair

Seems like a grand time was had by all. The larger model engineering shows here are a 3 day affair. Friday is for set up and a great time to hit the consignment table early and often. Saturday the show is full on and Sunday it winds down. Some exhibitors choose to come in early Saturday and spend 8-10 hours there and then head home and they still got a full day in. It still seems to go by so fast. I mention this because it seems like all were in for a bit of a 4 hour scramble. I commend you on getting together in the thick of it all for the photo ops. Well done guys!
Is there any chance to get the management to try for a longer experience next year?

It could be possible. Joanne (my partner) lost interest after 20 mins and went off on her own for the rest of the afternoon. When we met up she told me she had been talking to the one of the women from the canteen. Joanne was assured, it was the best STIA ever, people were waiting for the doors to open (which is unheard of) and the special Meccanno day (the week before) had not been half as good.
So I guess, at this rate Fred may have to think of running it over two days in the future or one longer day. I do hope so.
