An interesting day at the CMES.Hi,
Yesterday was one of the twelve public opendays of the Cardiff Model Enginering Society and like a lot of the UK the day was a little damp windy and cold.
On arrival it was found that the council had dug a hole in the middle of the car park which could have been a little inconvienient but as it turned out it wasn't!
There was also another bit of a problem.
The bough of the tree had fallen accross the tram track and through the fence fortunately missing the over head wire.
The club looking a little empty was opened up.
About an hour after opening the visitors.
Then a party arrived!
An early end to the day. Dropping fire.
And blowing down.
Hopefully on the coming bank holiday when the club is open again there will be more visitors. Anyone interested in visiting check www.cardiffmes.com for times and dates.
Regards Tony.

Hi,
And I love the Jones Goods!
Is that what it is? I thought it was in undercoat for Brunswick Green which most of the other club engines are painted with.
Yes weather was very unfortunate and isn't any better at the moment.
What a fantastic track!
The club has its annual 22nd. Steam Rally (not a public open day) on the 9/10th June anyone interested in visiting contact me.
Regards Tony.
