AnDel ModelsFor those Forum members looking for 32mm & 45mm rolling stock to go with their live steam locos, have a look at AnDel Models - http://stores.ebay.co.uk/AnDel-Models
I first heard about these models through postings in other Forums/Groups online, and an article in 16mm Today. As was suggested by those postings, you really must read the 'About Me' page on his ebay store for a very interesting story.
I was very fortunate to meet Andy Bell at the recent Merstham Model Steam Show, and after a very pleasant chat I bought some of his products.
Firstly, lacking the time to make them myself, I've been looking for a coal load to brighten up my rather plain looking Mamod open wagons. So I turned this
into this
See here for my posting on how this was achieved - http://gardenrails.myfreeforum.org/about411.html
Have a look at Peter Longfils very comprehensive posting on the 3 panel dropside wagon ( http://rvlr.photos.gb.com/c1504018.html ). Unfortunately he has not managed to get a posting about his AnDel Guards Van kit done yet, as his internal detailing is excellent. There are some photos of his progress in the Members only section of his Low_Cost_Garden_Railways Yahoo Group, but new memberships are unlikely at present given his very poor health, until the admin of his Railway groups is sorted out.
I purchased one of these Guards Van kits, and like Pete, I would like to fit glazing & some internal detailing. I would also like to make the balcony doors & internal door functional by fitting hinges, and possibly make the roof detachable so that the interior can be seen. I can only wish that I can achieve something similar to Pete's excellent example.
Thanks for looking at this posting.
